Lightness takes work, too

I want a lighter, healthier life.

Decision

I want a lighter, healthier life. When I say that, I’m not imagining days without difficulty. I’m thinking of a life I can recognise myself in.

Action

There is a beautiful part to change. There is also the part that asks for effort after the newness fades. Work continues, decisions continue and life has to happen on ordinary days.

Adjustment

When I think about the next step, I want to ask what it adds and what it will require. I want to build with greater awareness of my time and possibilities.

For me, lightness has to do with direction.

The account

How it went, from start to adjustment.

I want a lighter, healthier life. When I say that, I’m not imagining days without difficulty. I’m thinking of a life I can recognise myself in.

I’ve changed places and work. None of those changes removed the need to choose, learn and deal with consequences.

There is a beautiful part to change. There is also the part that asks for effort after the newness fades. Work continues, decisions continue and life has to happen on ordinary days.

I want to tell that side, too. The life on the screen can have a beautiful view and questions still open at the same time. Both can be true.

When I think about the next step, I want to ask what it adds and what it will require. I want to build with greater awareness of my time and possibilities.

For me, lightness has to do with direction. Feeling that the effort belongs to a life I chose. I’m still discovering how to make that work in practice.
